Shizuoka is famous for their high quality green tea and first flush is the most prized. The young tea leaves are plucked just as they are just starting to bud. They release a richer flavor when steeped and contain a higher level of antioxidants.
To avoid burning the delicate leaves, brew with slightly cooled 80C (175F) boiled water.
Steep for 1-2 minutes.
Remove the satchet and enjoy.
