My wife spent time in Okinawa so this gives her some nostalgia for the holidays
I have been wanting a Maneki-neko and I got one in this Advent Calendar! It has tea, candy and snacks! It also has ceramic and other items. I am so glad I purchased this Advent Calendar!
Definitely my favorite advent calendar. I really like that you can add lights to the slide-out panels to make it glow.
I lived the villa and the teas!! The strawberries in the first box blew me away!
I absolutely enjoyed my 24 days of Japanese Onsen goodies! I liked that each drawer contained a little bit of everything: treats, tea, and home goods.
Truly making my holidays special. A split between snacks and traditional goods, each day has been wonderful.
I purchased from the US and thought it would take time, but it came very fast and in excellent condition. I can’t say enough how well thought out the design is. I am really loving the style. Would make a beautiful gift.
It’s been absolutely amazing so far, lots of amazing treats and trinkets
I'm being very good and waiting until December to start opening my onsen retreat advent calendar. The box is beautiful and I'm thinking of making a lantern or light up picture from it after Christmas. It feels lovely quality and I can't wait to see what treats lie within 🥰
I have allergies but am able to share this with my daughter and still enjoy each day.
A captivating snack, tea or a Japanese household item will be waiting for you each day behind the door...providing the curiosity doesn't get better of you and you check all doors on day 1 :D :D :D It's really temping to open all at once :D so much fun!
My first advent calendar and I was very happy with this purchase! Had great variety of surprises all very traditional and beautiful.
I never had an advent calendar growing up so I got this one and the Slice of Japan one for my sister and I to open. It is absolutely adorable! It has been the highlight of our night getting to open a new box each day lol this one has been absolutely amazing! I love the stuff inside and the snacks + tea are delicious! I'm so happy I got this one I just wish it was more than 14 days!
The Onsen Retreat Advent Calendar was one of the most relaxing, beautifully curated holiday experiences I’ve ever treated myself to. Instead of the usual chocolate or small trinkets, this calendar offered 24 days of authentic, soothing moments inspired by Japanese hot spring culture — and it truly felt like a daily escape.Design:The presentation was stunning. The calendar itself had a calm, elegant aesthetic with soft colors, traditional patterns, and a layout that made opening each day feel like uncovering a little secret. Each compartment was sturdy, well-organized, and opened smoothly without tearing. The overall look and feel matched the theme perfectly: peaceful, traditional, and deeply comforting.Contents & Experience:Each day included a thoughtfully chosen item tied to Japanese relaxation and seasonal wellness. I loved the variety — from bath salts inspired by different onsen regions, to herbal incense, teas, small snacks, skincare items, and traditional keepsakes. There was always something meaningful behind each selection, and everything felt high-quality and culturally grounded rather than generic. The bath salts were the highlight for me: richly scented, mineral-rich, and instantly transformed my bathroom into a mini onsen. The teas were calming and fragrant, perfect for unwinding after a long day. Even the small snacks felt intentional, with flavors that complemented the soothing theme rather than overwhelming it.Quality:This calendar absolutely exceeded my expectations in terms of craftsmanship and care. The scents were natural and pleasant, the teas brewed beautifully, and the cultural items (like charms, incense, or mini crafts) felt artisanal rather than mass-produced. There wasn't a single day that felt like filler — every item added to the sense of calm and immersion.Overall:The Onsen Retreat Advent Calendar is perfect for anyone who loves Japanese culture, self-care rituals, or gentle, mindful treats during the holiday season. Instead of rushing through December, this calendar encouraged me to slow down, breathe, and enjoy a quiet daily moment.I would absolutely purchase it again — it made the season feel more peaceful and meaningful. A truly lovely gift for yourself or someone who deserves a little extra tranquility. 🛁✨
Beautifully presented! It has a magical glow if you add a few battery operated candles through the back. Each drawer is filled with a lovely gift or a delicious treat.
I really loved having many different little japanese objects and specialty, it was all very nice and pretty. However, I still think it is a bit overpriced. A little note for each day explaining what is what would be super helpful!
