Invite a touch of elegance to your tea ritual with this exquisite, handcrafted teapot.
This teapot is crafted by the renowned Shoryu Kiln, founded by celebrated Tokoname ware (常滑焼) artisan Shoji Umehara, combining innovation and creative design with the centuries-old tradition of Tokoname pottery.
Tokoname ware is a traditional Japanese pottery from Aichi Prefecture, with a history dating back to the 12th century, and celebrated for its high quality and functionality.
The teapot’s elegant design is inspired by the Yoshino cherry blossom, widely recognized in Japan, while the gold leaf lid adds a refined touch of luxury. Complete with a built-in cera-mesh tea strainer, allowing you to enjoy the rich flavor of the tea leaves. It is finished with a Tenmoku (天目) glaze, known for its darker tones, and the use of iron in that glaze creates unique oil spot patterns during the firing process.
