Tokoname Ware Tsukimi Rabbit Yunomi Teacup

Comfortable in the hand and rich with character, this tsukimi yunomi teacup brings the warmth of Tokoname craftsmanship to everyday tea moments. Its gently curved form is designed for daily use, while hand-painted rabbits beneath a glowing full moon evoke the quiet beauty of an autumn night.

Each cup carries a quiet elegance, balancing simplicity with the charm of artisan-made pottery. Crafted in Tokoname, Aichi Prefecture—Japan's most celebrated teapot-producing region—this yunomi reflects generations of ceramic tradition. Inspired by tsukimi, the Japanese custom of moon viewing, and the folktale of the rabbit on the moon, each motif is painted entirely by hand, giving every piece its own unique expression and subtle individuality. Left unglazed, the clay retains the natural texture that is a hallmark of Tokoname ware, allowing the warmth and character of the material itself to shine through.

Over time, the surface develops a gentle sheen, making each cup a personal companion that evolves with use. Enjoy tea from a vessel shaped by skilled hands and time-honored techniques. Whether part of a daily ritual or a quiet evening of moon viewing, this handcrafted yunomi brings a touch of autumn and the enduring beauty of Japanese craftsmanship to every cup.
